I began this blog primarily to share a book I’ve written about the Rocky Flats Plant in Colorado. I watched the reputation of the site decay from the early days when it was thought to be an important part of national defense to be considered a blight. I watched the workers at the site strive to do everything in their power to safely and responsibly complete the mission assigned by our nation’s leaders in compliance with all laws. Our neighbors were reading and watching stories that gave a very different impression.
I’ve always been interested in history, and this blog is dedicated to expanding awareness of why the nation believed Rocky Flats was necessary to maintain its freedom. Many of the reviews I intend to post are about the threats that existed when the decisions were made that the plant needed and continued to operate through the Cold War. Some of the content will also deal with other history and historical figures.
I welcome your comments. I know there are many divergent views, and I hope we can learn from each other in a constructive and civil manner.
Hello this is kinda of off topic but I was wanting to know if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding know-how so I wanted to get guidance from someone with experience. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
We use SiteBuilder software which as the name suggests is a template-based website creation tool that allows but does not require HTML coding. SiteBuilder is well integrated with our ISP, is largely menu driven though not really WYSIWYG (you’ll need to preview changes before publishing) while providing reasonable formatting flexibility without much knowledge of HTML. Thanks for visiting.
Sup, I want to ask you one thing. Is this site a wordpress web log? I am contemplating changing our blog site from Blogger to wordpress, do you think this is possible? Also did you create this specific theme yourself some how? Many thanks for your help!
Yes, the RockyFlatsFacts.com blog page uses WordPress. I had help setting it up and maintaining it. One thing we’ve learned is to do frequent backups. There has only been one problem in just under a year, but that taught us the importance of backups.
Gday, I need to ask you something. Is this site a wordpress web site? I am pondering changing our webpage from Blogger to wordpress, ya think that is doable? In addition did you construct the following template yourself some how? Thanks a lot for your help!
I had help setting up the site, so I’m not a good person to ask about degree of difficulty. The RockyFlatsFacts.com blog page uses WordPress, and the software is relatively easy to use after some practice
